How It Works

Many of the core components are similar to a centre pivot system, including:

Linear irrigators are an excellent irrigation solution for rectangular paddocks and long field layouts where a centre pivot may not be the ideal fit.

Unlike a pivot, which rotates around a central point, a linear irrigator moves in a straight line across the paddock, applying water evenly as it travels. The system is motorised via a generator mounted on the main cart, with water supplied either through a drag hose or from a ditch-fed water source.

The key difference is the motorised cart, which controls the movement and water delivery of the system. These carts come in a range of sizes and configurations to suit different paddock shapes, field sizes, and irrigation requirements.
